You can leave it running in the background and activate it when you want to take a peek at your fonts and get a good idea of what effect they produce on real text. Font O'Matic is very straightforward. It displays a window with a pop-up menu containing a list of all the fonts currently installed in your system. When you select a font from the pop up menu, sample text in that font will be drawn in the window. You can also scroll through all available fonts by pressing the space bar.
